Wellness Plan Order Pausing
Overview
At times, it may be necessary to pause the creation of medication orders for users on a subscription. This could be due to various reasons such as the user having recently obtained a three-month medication supply in-person, or an excess of medication from past deliveries. To manage these situations, an "Order Delay" can be set up via the dashboard. This will prevent any new orders from being generated until after a specified date.
Setting Up an Order Delay
You can add an "Order Delay" to a subscription through three methods: the Subscription View Page, the Order View Section, and the Reject Order Dialog.
Via the Subscription View Page:
- Locate the Subscription: Find the subscription you wish to apply an "Order Delay" to.
- Access Historical Orders: Scroll to the 'Historical Orders' section.
- Initiate Order Delay: Click on "Add Order Delay" in the callout bar.
- Set the Delay Date: Choose the desired date for the delay to end.
- Save: Confirm your selection by clicking 'Save'.
Updating or Removing an Order Delay
If you need to modify or cancel an existing "Order Delay":
- Find the Subscription: Select the subscription with the order delay you wish to alter.
- Edit Order Delay: In the 'Historical Orders' section, click on 'Edit'.
- Modify or Remove:
- To Delete: Click the 'Delete' button.
- To Change the Date: Input the new date and click 'Update'.
Important Consideration for Order Delays
When setting up an "Order Delay," it's important to understand that this action does not schedule a new order to be automatically generated on the specified end date. Instead, the delay simply prevents any new orders from being created until after that date. Beyond this date, normal order processing resumes based on the user's subscription cycle, without automatically generating an order for the date the delay ends.
